Clear aligners are made from smooth, medical‑grade plastic that sits snugly over your teeth. Because the aligners are computer‑generated, each one focuses on specific tooth movements without the friction of metal brackets. Attachments placed on selected teeth act as handles for the aligners to exert targeted forces.

In addition to being discreet, aligners allow you to brush and floss normally, reducing the risk of gum problems during treatment. They can correct mild to moderate crowding, spacing, crossbite, overbite and underbite as part of orthodontics when worn consistently. For more complex bite issues, we may combine aligners with limited braces and aligners or other appliances for the best outcome.

Clear aligners aren’t just for adults, and are often part of pediatric dentistry for teens and growing smiles. Invisalign Teen features compliance indicators—small blue dots that fade when your teen wears the trays as directed—so you and your dentist can track progress. Treatment can improve crowding, spacing and bite issues during adolescence, often reducing the need for future extractions or jaw surgery.

For younger children, limited aligner therapy may help correct anterior crossbites and expand dental arches while permanent teeth erupt. We’ll determine if aligners or a combination of appliances is appropriate after evaluating your child’s bite, age and level of cooperation.

During your complimentary consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and examine your bite. A digital scan takes just minutes and eliminates the need for messy impressions. You’ll see a preview of your straightened smile and receive a personalized treatment plan outlining cost, duration and any required attachments.

If you decide to move forward, we’ll collect records and schedule delivery of your first aligner set. Some patients choose to begin treatment the same day. Our team will review care instructions, provide starter chewies to seat your aligners properly, and schedule regular check‑ins every 6–10 weeks.

Once your teeth are aligned, maintaining your new smile with retainers is key.You’ll wear retainers full‑time for the first few months, then transition to nightly wear. Clean your retainers daily with gentle soap and water and avoid heat or harsh chemicals. Attend follow‑up visits as recommended so we can monitor retention and adjust as needed.
